Rainwater Harvesting Enquiry

Tell us about the farm and we will work out what your roof can realistically collect, what size store that justifies, and what the system needs around the tank.

Five questions is enough to start. If you already know your numbers there is room to add them, but nothing below the first few fields is required.

What you get back

  1. What your roof will realistically collect, using the long-term rainfall for your postcode rather than a national average.
  2. What storage that justifies, and which of the two constraints is setting it - the roof, or what you draw.
  3. A parts list your contractor can work from: tank, filtration, first-flush, fittings.
  4. A straight answer on whether it stacks up. If your roofspace is small relative to your demand we will say so.

What you get back is a specification for planning, not a performance guarantee. A quote is where tangible figures emerge.

Tells us your rainfall and what delivery will cost.
Roofspace you would collect from
Pace it out or estimate - we will do the sums. Put your biggest shed here and mention the rest below. Clamp covers, lean-tos and machinery sheds all count, and most people forget them.

All optional. Skip anything you are not sure about - we will work it out together on the call.

Head count is easier than litres. e.g. "90 milkers", "120 sucklers", "300 stores", "600 ewes", "200 finishers", "2 poultry sheds", or "40 ha spuds".
Tells us whether this is about cutting a mains bill, backing up a borehole, or working around a restriction.
Affects how much you actually capture, and what filtration suits.
Space where the tank would sit
A 25,000 litre tank is 2.7 m across and 4.5 m tall, so headroom matters too. Full, it is about 25 tonnes, so the base has to be built for it.
Rough height from the tank up to where you need it. Downhill? Put a minus number.
Rough pipe run from tank to trough, parlour or standpipe.
We do not install. The specification is written so your groundworks and plumbing people can work from it directly.
Changes how the invoice is written. Skip if you would rather say on the call.
